I-CON
Low Voltage Switching / Addressable Control on a Two-Way Communication Bus

INTRODUCTION
The I-CON is a logic-based, soft-managed system, utilizing state-of-the-art bus line technology for control of motorized shading. Each Intelligent Motor (IM) may be programmed with up to 7 unique addresses. There are 255 unique addresses available. All I-CON (Intelligent Motor Control System) components are UL recognized and systems tested.

SUMMARY
MechoSystems' Intelligent Motor Control System/2 (I-CON) is a 2-way communicating software busline control system that is ideal for medium, large, and complex networks. The major advantages of the I-CON system are simplicity, exceptional flexibility, and lower installation costs, making the I-CON the ideal solution for solar tracking and/or building management system integration for base building and multi-tenant Class A office building projects where floor layouts frequently change. Also, Audio/Visual centers and/or conference rooms with movable walls resulting constant changes in shade configuration.

FEATURES

  • Low cost installation. Daisy chain wiring of line voltage and low voltage circuits.
  • Software programmable via the hand-held programmer or PC.
  • Two (2) motor Bus Interface (BI).
  • Scaleable, expandable design.
  • Low cost wiring design offers totally flexible free topology for lower cost installation.
  • A choice of 3 switching control networks: Low cost Local Zone standard switching, more expensive Wide Zone intelligent switching, which has greater capabilities, and the ability to mix them to form a Local/Wide Zone network.
  • MID-WINDOW ALIGNMENT: 6 aligned positions with 4 intermediate auto or custom stop positions at the touch of a button. Plus, assured alignment from top down or bottom up with the ability to compensate for the variance between gravity drop (down) and lifting against gravity (up).
  • Two-way communication.
  • MULTI-LEVEL CONTROL: Multi-layer, overlapping control zones, groups, and sub groups.
  • Program / reprogramming switching via address tables, software access.
  • Two modes of operation; normal and uniform mode.
    • Normal Mode: shades may be stopped anywhere on the window.
    • Uniform Mode: shades may only be stopped at pre-selected stop positions offering uniform alignment for uniformity of outside building appearance and inside consistancy.
  • No rewiring required. Bus line software management.
  • Reconfigure switching without rewiring.
Reprogram without scaffoldiing. The hand-held programmer can access any motor or BI in the system via RJ port on any Wide Zone switch.
